Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Remote Position at TRM Labs

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at TRM Labs. In this remote role, you will play a crucial part in building a safer financial system for billions of people worldwide. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at TRM Labs, you will collaborate with a talented team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers to design and build scalable infrastructure for our products and services.

What You'll Do

• Develop software and tooling to facilitate greater automation, support, maintenance, and operability of services.
• Utilize data to understand the availability, reliability, and sustainability of our infrastructure.
• Engage in systems hardening and compliance efforts (e.g., SOC2, FedRAMP).
• Work closely with product and engineering leadership to establish strategy, priorities, and mission for the Infrastructure team.
• Drive critical investigations and deliver insights while the story is still unfolding.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a role working with AWS and/or GCP IaaS services such as compute, object storage, IAM, VPC, and load balancing.
• Experience with tools like Airflow, GKE, EKS, and BigQuery is a plus.
• Highly proficient with modern Unix/Linux operating systems/distributions, preferably CentOS & Alpine.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers, virtualization, web servers, and databases.
• Experience defining SLOs/SLIs and implementing monitoring, alerting, and runbooks.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native technologies.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment where adaptability is key.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
