Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Hybrid Role at ICEYE

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at ICEYE. This Senior Infrastructure Engineer remote position will allow you to own, build, and evolve our core infrastructure, enabling scalable global satellite operations. You will be a crucial part of our IT department, managing the physical and virtual backbone that supports our engineering and business teams.

What You'll Do

• Own and modernize our corporate infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence.
• Build resilient on-premise clusters and optimize hybrid networks.
• Transition systems administration into a disciplined, code-driven practice.
• Design and manage high-availability server clusters using VMware or Proxmox.
• Build scalable environments on AWS that integrate effectively with on-premise systems.
• Design and troubleshoot complex network topologies using enterprise-grade vendors like Palo Alto and Cisco.
• Define infrastructure via software using Terraform and Ansible.
• Deep internal knowledge of Windows Server or Linux environments.

Requirements

• Expert-level mastery in at least two of the following areas: Virtualization & Compute, Hybrid Cloud (AWS), Advanced Networking, Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with VMware or Proxmox, AWS, Palo Alto, and Cisco.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience in performance tuning and automated patching strategies.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, managing both physical and cloud infrastructure.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a multi-vendor environment.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery planning.
