About the Role

Join our mission as a Senior Human Resource Specialist - Remote with the Asian Development Bank (ADB). What You'll Do

  • Oversee a broad range of human resources functions, ensuring the development and implementation of personnel policies that align with the Strategic HR Framework.
  • Act as the primary contact for client departments, providing expert advice on HR policies and procedures, including performance management and talent reviews.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen talent management, focusing on managing, retaining, and developing staff.
  • Guide client departments in workforce planning and organizational design, ensuring alignment with ADB's strategic goals.
  • Support the implementation of talent acquisition programs and contribute to the design of HR policies and initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Engage with client departments to identify skills and leadership gaps, advising on succession planning and talent management activities.
  • Ensure timely action on non-vacancy driven staff actions and oversee updates in HR systems.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in human resources, business administration, or related fields, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of specialized experience.
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in talent retention and employee relations.
  • International experience working in various countries or in multinational organizations is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, conceptual, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and provide guidance on HR matters.
  • Familiarity with multilateral institution procedures is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Affiliation with recognized professional HR associations (CIPD, IPMA, SHRM).
  • Experience in talent acquisition and knowledge of position management.
  • Proven ability to undertake new initiatives with sound judgment.
