About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing consumer-facing digital products for the travel and e-commerce technology sector. Your expertise in Ruby on Rails will be crucial as you contribute to high-volume transactions and complex data flows, ensuring performance, reliability, and an exceptional user experience.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and deliver robust software features using Ruby on Rails, focusing primarily on backend development while also contributing to frontend tasks.
  • Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, from technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
  • Address technical challenges related to performance, scalability, data flows, and overall system stability.
  • Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to engineering best practices and is supported by comprehensive test coverage.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers, Product Managers, and the Engineering Manager to deliver high-quality, customer-centric features.
  • Share knowledge within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Participate in team initiatives, including regular hack days and innovation-focused activities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of commercial experience as a software engineer.
  • Strong, in-depth experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails in production environments.
  • Proven experience with modern frontend technologies.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, as it is the daily working language.

Nice to Have

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with or a strong interest in Hotwire.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with AWS-based environments.
  • Experience working within Agile development teams.
