About the Role

Join BitMEX as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Remote) and be part of a leading cryptocurrency derivatives exchange. In this role, you will design and implement fast, real-time web applications, contributing to a platform that has maintained an impeccable security record since its inception in 2014. What You'll Do

• Develop the BitMEX Web Frontend and React components, focusing on performance and responsiveness.
• Design and implement new features while fixing bugs and tuning performance.
• Collaborate closely with the API and Engine teams to integrate new features and unique consumer-facing products.
• Help develop and maintain APIs required for different trading experiences, both Backend and Frontend.
• Explore and evaluate new stack components and architectural ideas as necessary.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.

Requirements

• Intimate experience with JavaScript (JS) and its performance characteristics.
• Experience with Node.js, React, and Flux architecture.
• Familiarity with Flow/TypeScript.
• Ability to develop complex, data-driven products that are accessible to consumers.
• Experience managing multiple products and concepts simultaneously.
• Curiosity for new UX concepts and familiarity with current UX trends.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the cryptocurrency or financial sector.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
