Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer - React & Node.js Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Remote) to join our dynamic team at Blue Yonder. In this role, you will anchor our Portal platform and Node.js/Express microservices, contributing significantly to our development efforts. You will have the opportunity to work with a modern tech stack, including TypeScript, React, and Node.js, while focusing on API design, security, and operability on Azure/Kubernetes.

What You'll Do

• Ship production code weekly across Portal micro-frontends (MFEs) using TypeScript/React and Node.js/Express services.
• Design and evolve REST APIs with clear contracts, versioning, and safe rollouts.
• Improve performance end-to-end, focusing on Core Web Vitals in the browser and service latency.
• Implement secure-by-default patterns, including OAuth2/OIDC PKCE and service-to-service JWT.
• Manage MongoDB Atlas usage with pragmatic schema and index design.
• Strengthen CI/CD processes with reusable GitHub Actions and quality gates.
• Build a resilient test strategy, including unit and contract tests.
• Coach engineers across time zones and lead blameless incident reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in building production web apps and services.
• 3+ years as a senior individual contributor with strong TypeScript and React skills.
• Deep understanding of Node.js/Express fundamentals and REST API design.
• Proven performance wins across browsers and Node.
• Solid CI/CD and operations experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Comfortable with observability tools and applied security practices.
• Excellent code reviews and mentoring capabilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenTelemetry, ELK/Kibana, and Azure App Insights.
• Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas operations and performance tuning.
• Understanding of multi-region SaaS and HA/DR patterns.
• Experience with API gateways and rate limiting strategies.
