Senior Frontend Engineer - Vue.js & TypeScript (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team at Kaufland e-commerce. As a Senior Frontend Engineer remote, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere in Germany or from one of our offices in Cologne, Darmstadt, Düsseldorf, or Berlin. What You'll Do

• Proactively develop the Kaufland Marketplace and internal services as a Senior Frontend Engineer remote.
• Collaborate with UX/UI experts to design and implement solutions that deliver an exceptional shopping experience.
• Continuously optimize and maintain existing frontend applications for performance, speed, and usability.
• Contribute your own suggestions and technologies to the development process.
• Work on highly scalable and performant SSR Vue 3 frontends serving pages with high traffic.
• Lead by example and improve your colleagues’ know-how and quality.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Frontend or Full-Stack Engineer.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Vue.js, or other common frameworks.
• Familiarity with backend development in Node.js, PHP, or other languages.
• Knowledge of testing, debugging, monitoring, and deployment techniques.
• Experience building responsive web applications and using different API paradigms.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (C1).

• Experience with A/B testing and iterative cycles.
• Understanding of infrastructure concepts.
