Senior Engineering Manager - Infrastructure Systems

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Infrastructure Systems to join our dynamic team at RemoteHunter. This Senior Engineering Manager remote position will focus on leading the design, delivery, and operation of cloud environments and service infrastructure. You will play a critical role in shaping our cloud ecosystem, enabling the automatic and economical creation of new services and environments.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, delivery, and operation of cloud environments and service infrastructure.
• Oversee build, deploy, and ecosystem services to ensure high availability and performance.
• Hire, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Drive scalable and reliable infrastructure that accelerates development across the organization.
• Support agile software development processes from inception to delivery, ensuring timely project completion.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, infrastructure engineer, or DevOps engineer, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Proven ability to hire, coach, and develop engineers, with a focus on performance management.
• Experience leading agile software development processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Skilled in defining and maintaining technical roadmaps that balance short-term and long-term objectives.
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform; familiarity with CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Pulumi is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, essential for container orchestration.
• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, metrics, and alerting systems to maintain system health.
• Understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPC/VNet, peering, hybrid connectivity, and traffic management.

• Familiarity with security systems, data governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and artifact management to streamline deployment processes.
• Results-driven leadership with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
