Senior Endpoint Security Engineer - Remote Cybersecurity Role

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer to join our team at Myticas Consulting. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. As a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the security posture of our client’s workstations and ensuring robust endpoint management across a large enterprise environment.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the endpoint engineering team to identify vulnerabilities and automate remediation processes.
• Utilize tools such as SCCM, Jamf Pro, and Microsoft Intune for managing Windows and macOS endpoints.
• Develop, test, and deploy remediation scripts using automation scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Implement security frameworks and compliance measures, including NIST 800-53 Rev 5 and CIS Benchmarks.
• Document scripts and configurations to support troubleshooting and cross-team adoption.
• Participate in regular team meetings to provide updates and propose improvements to security operations.
• Monitor endpoint compliance and report on remediation effectiveness to leadership.
• Contribute to the development of secure baseline configurations aligned with industry standards.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in endpoint security engineering within large enterprise environments.
• Hands-on expertise with SCCM, Jamf Pro, and Microsoft Intune.
• Strong proficiency in automation scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of vulnerability management processes and security frameworks.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
• Ability to document technical processes clearly for knowledge transfer.
• Familiarity with tools like Tenable for vulnerability management.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CVE programs and vulnerability databases.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and SDLC principles.
• Previous experience in a mixed Windows/macOS engineering environment.
