About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our innovative team at TOPIC Embedded Systems. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on high-tech projects that make the world smarter, healthier, and better. You will leverage your deep expertise in C/C++ development and system architecture to lead the design and implementation of advanced software solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and verify new subsystems, modules, and components as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer.
  • Write efficient and maintainable code in C/C++, focusing on performance and memory optimization.
  • Explore innovative solution approaches to achieve the best results for complex R&D environments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in an international, multidisciplinary, and agile environment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and elevate technical standards within the team.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development with C and C++, demonstrating your proficiency as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Matlab, Python, and Rust is a plus.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, UML, unit testing, Agile methodologies, and design principles.
  • Expertise in FPGA development and/or PCB design is advantageous.

  • Proactive, strategic, and solution-driven mindset.
  • Motivation to continuously improve and develop new skills.
  • Good command of English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
