Senior DFIR Consultant - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DFIR Consultant - Remote to join our team at GuidePoint Security. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in digital forensics and incident response to help organizations mitigate risks and respond to cybersecurity incidents effectively. As a Senior DFIR Consultant, you will work closely with clients to provide strategic guidance and technical consulting in various areas including threat hunting, malware handling, and cloud security.

What You'll Do

• Lead incident response efforts, including digital forensics investigations and malware analysis.
• Develop and implement strategies for threat hunting and network traffic analysis.
• Consult with clients on best practices for cybersecurity compliance and risk management.
• Utilize programming skills in PowerShell, Python, BASH, and GO for automation and analysis tasks.
• Engage in multi-cloud implementations and provide expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and G Suite.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security architecture with business objectives.
• Deliver training and support to clients on incident response and digital forensics.
• Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in digital forensics, incident response, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in programming languages including PowerShell, Python, BASH, and GO.
• Experience with cloud technologies and multi-cloud environments.
• Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
• Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) are a plus.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Saviynt and identity governance solutions.
• Experience in project management and business analysis.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
