Senior Data Scientist - Remote Position at Search Atlas

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist remote to join our team at Search Atlas. As a rapidly growing SEO software company, we help websites improve their Google performance. This role is not just about individual contributions; you will lead the data team, manage resources, and create a strategic roadmap for data studies across the company.

What You'll Do

• Develop and manage a comprehensive strategic roadmap for all data science initiatives.
• Lead and manage multiple data science resources, ensuring the team meets execution deadlines.
• Oversee the end-to-end execution of data projects, from gathering and preprocessing to advanced modeling and presentation.
• Utilize AI coding tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to enhance development and analysis efficiency.
• Act as the primary liaison between the data team and leadership, providing clear and concise project updates.
• Ensure operational excellence and accountability within the data team.

Requirements

• Must be based in EST or CST time zones or demonstrate 100% availability during these hours.
• Exceptional English communication skills are mandatory.
• Over 6 years of applied Data Science experience with a proven track record of managing projects.
• Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and SQL.
• Strong experience using AI tools to streamline workflows.
• Exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automated visualization libraries (e.g., Plotly).
• History of successfully improving underperforming team processes.
• Active presence in the AI/ML community (GitHub, Kaggle, or Research).
