Senior Data Architect - Consultant (AWS, Microsoft Fabric)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect - Consultant to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will define, enhance, and govern enterprise data architecture standards across AWS, Microsoft Fabric, Purview, and Ataccama. As a Senior Data Architect, you will create scalable blueprints and integration frameworks that ensure interoperability and data quality across all domains.
What You'll Do
- Define and maintain standards for conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Establish enterprise metadata, lineage, and data quality standards across Purview, Ataccama, Fabric, and AWS Glue.
- Set API/event/Integration contract standards for cross-domain data exchange.
- Enforce conformance to enterprise governance and security principles.
- Build and maintain unified enterprise data architecture with blueprints.
- Create domain data flow maps, cross-domain interaction diagrams, and canonical patterns.
- Develop reusable patterns for AWS (Glue, EMR, Redshift, IAM, S3) and Azure/Fabric (Container Services, Functions, Data Factory).
- Guide domain teams in implementing target-state architectures and lead architecture reviews.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data governance.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift, EMR, IAM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric and Purview, including Data Factory and catalog functionalities.
- Deep understanding of metadata standards, lineage frameworks, and data quality methodologies.
- Experience designing event-driven and API-first architectures.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Ataccama tools for data quality and master data management.
- Experience in financial services or similar regulated industries.
