Senior Contract Manager - Remote Position at Lumen Technologies

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Contract Manager to join our team at Lumen Technologies in a remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing right of way agreements to support our fiber optic network projects across North America. As a Senior Contract Manager, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including private companies, landowners, and government agencies, to negotiate and execute agreements that align with project requirements and comply with applicable laws.

What You'll Do

• Draft and negotiate right of way agreements with stakeholders to facilitate project execution.
• Review and analyze title information, surveys, maps, and other documents to assess property ownership and encumbrances.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and attorneys to ensure timely completion of agreements.
• Monitor the status and performance of agreements, including payments, renewals, and disputes.
• Maintain and update the right of way database, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and present reports on right of way activities to management and clients.
• Act as the main point of contact for major underlying rights providers.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior contract managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, law, real estate, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in contract management or right of way acquisition.
• Expert knowledge of right of way acquisition principles and practices.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and right of way software applications.

• Experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations related to land use.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
