About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Civil Engineer - Water & Wastewater Industry (Remote) to join our dynamic team at AtkinsRéalis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced civil engineer with a passion for transforming infrastructure and energy systems. You will play a crucial role in our Global Technology Centre based in Bengaluru, India, while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.

What You'll Do

• Lead civil design projects in the water and wastewater sector, focusing on trunk mains, reservoirs, pumping stations, and treatment works.
• Utilize your 10 to 15 years of experience to manage client relationships and oversee design management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Contribute to project management by applying quality systems and ensuring compliance with UK Health & Safety requirements.
• Mentor and train Graduate and Assistant Engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Conduct detailed design calculations and prepare drawings in accordance with IS/BS and US Codes of Practice.
• Promote best engineering practices and value engineering principles to enhance project outcomes.
• Travel to various locations in India and abroad for short-term assignments and training as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, with a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in the Water & Wastewater Industry, with international experience being a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership (ICE UK or CIWEM UK).

Nice to Have

• Experience with MEPICA design and coordination.
• Familiarity with project management software.
• Previous experience in training and mentoring junior engineers.
