What You'll Do

• Complete duties and responsibilities of an entry-level professional nature specific to your assigned area within the Bank.
• Ensure all activities adhere to established internal policies and external regulations.
• Identify risk-related issues and escalate them to management as necessary.
• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk effectively.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points.
• Participate in various professional development activities and gain exposure to other departments through guest speakers and industry leaders.
• Complete other related duties as assigned to support the team and your learning experience.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in relevant software.
• Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
• Work Visa Sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Nice to Have

• Previous internship experience in finance or accounting.
