What You'll Do

• Lead the frontend engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with product, backend, and design teams.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement.
• Define architecture and standards that enhance the performance and scalability of our frontend applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and improve our development processes.
• Drive the evolution of our frontend technology stack, focusing on React and other modern frameworks.
• Contribute to open-source projects and engage with the developer community to enhance our API offerings.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to keep Alpaca at the forefront of innovation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on React.
• Proven experience in leading technical projects and teams.
• Deep understanding of frontend architecture and design patterns.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to simplify complex technical challenges.
• Experience with API integrations and working in a microservices architecture.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
• A passion for mentoring and helping others grow in their careers.
• Familiarity with financial services or trading platforms is a plus.
