About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Solutions Architect - Strategic Capture to join our team at Defense Unicorns. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact during customer engagements, ensuring that our offerings resonate with government and defense customers. Your deep technical knowledge combined with exceptional communication skills will be essential as you navigate the complexities of the defense sector.

What You'll Do

• Act as a trusted advisor for customers, understanding their technical needs and challenges during pre-sales engagements.
• Participate in sales calls and business development meetings, often as the primary technical contact, and travel as required to support on-site engagements.
• Discover real mission needs beyond surface-level requirements by asking probing questions to align our solutions accordingly.
• Architect solutions based on potential customer requirements and articulate those solutions effectively.
• Maintain technical demo environments and lead live, hands-on demonstrations of our UDS Core platform and capabilities.
• Build and deliver technical proof-of-concepts, including live installations and technical walkthroughs to validate platform capabilities in real-time.
• Support long and complex sales cycles typical in the defense sector, ensuring prospective customers understand the value of our technology.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar role, with a focus on technical sales.
• Strong understanding of government and defense sector requirements and challenges.
• Proven ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical proof-of-concepts.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.

• Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with security protocols and compliance standards in the defense sector.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
