About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Software Engineer UI to join our innovative team at Brave. As a Remote Software Engineer UI, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our web browser's user experience, focusing on privacy and performance. What You'll Do

• Implement browser-integrated Web UI features such as AI conversations and new tab pages using Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with React.
• Collaborate with our product development team to bring designs and specifications to life on Brave's desktop and mobile browsers.
• Integrate with custom browser APIs using Chromium's communications frameworks.
• Customize the native UI provided by Chromium to enhance product features.
• Deliver well-tested code with high confidence and participate in peer reviews to improve engineering processes.

Requirements

• Strong skills in building complex web applications with state management.
• Deep knowledge of a JavaScript UI framework such as React, Svelte, or Vue.
• Proven expertise in CSS for building user interfaces.
• Commitment to UI accessibility and localization techniques.
• Understanding of performance impact and measurement techniques.

Nice to Have

• Experience with C++ for browser-level feature work.
• Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques.
• Previous experience in a startup environment.
