Remote Senior Mobile iOS Engineer - Join a Leading FinTech Startup

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Senior Mobile iOS Engineer to join Yassir, the leading super app in the Maghreb region. In this role, you will be instrumental in changing the way daily services are provided across multiple countries, including Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia, with recent expansions into France, Canada, and Sub-Saharan Africa. You will work with a high-quality codebase and the latest tools, focusing on developing mobile applications and their integration with back-end services.

What You'll Do

• Design and build mobile applications for iOS.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms, and products.
• Work with the engineering and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results on schedule.

Requirements

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in iOS (Swift) native development.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Experience with web architecture: REST and RESTful APIs, micro-services.
• Proficiency in version control using GIT.
• Nice to have: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, caching with Redis, and web load balancing.
• Experience in a rapidly growing company in the mobility, on-demand, or fintech space is a plus.
• BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
