About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Senior Data Engineer to join our innovative team at Lalamove. As a key member of our global Data team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our expanding technology initiatives in new markets. Your expertise will help us enhance our data operations and ensure compliance with privacy laws, making a significant impact in the logistics industry.

What You'll Do

• Provide production support and incident response for our data operations in the expanding market platform.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, including data pipelines running on our data platform.
• Collaborate with a geographically-dispersed team of engineers to ensure compliance for the expanding market.
• Support ad hoc requests related to data and operations in the expanding market.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data engineering processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Legally permitted to work in Malaysia.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering.
• Experience in supporting Big Data operations.
• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with Linux systems and command line operations.
• Experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Good command of English; fluency in Mandarin is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools.
