Remote Reimbursement Specialist - Healthcare Billing Focus

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Remote Reimbursement Specialist to join our dedicated team at PromptCare Companies. As a Remote Reimbursement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient billing and collections in the healthcare sector. Your expertise in infusion reimbursement will be vital as you engage with various stakeholders, including patients, physician offices, and insurance providers, to facilitate timely authorization processes.

What You'll Do

• Manage all aspects of patient billing and collections, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Utilize your experience in infusion reimbursement to navigate complex insurance data collection and verification processes.
• Document and input new referrals and patient admissions from start to finish, maintaining meticulous records.
• Collaborate with department staff to ensure timely collections and address any billing inquiries.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all patient care and office interactions.
• Work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, in a fully remote capacity.
• Utilize software tools such as CPR+ and/or Caretend to enhance billing efficiency.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in billing or healthcare preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in electronic claims submission and medical collections.
• Strong knowledge of insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.
• Experience in billing/collections within DME, home infusion, and/or enteral preferred.
• Proficient in accounts receivable and accounting practices.
• Familiarity with CPR+ and/or Caretend software is a plus.
