About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Power BI Specialist to join our innovative team at Long View Systems. As a Power BI Specialist, you will leverage Microsoft’s Analytics stack, including Power BI and Azure technologies, to drive value for our clients. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in Canada while being part of a collaborative and dynamic team.

What You'll Do

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and challenges.
  • Design and implement solutions using Power BI, ensuring they meet client needs.
  • Conduct workshops to gather dashboard and reporting requirements effectively.
  • Create wireframes to visualize reporting needs and model data in Power BI.
  • Utilize DAX calculations for advanced metrics and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Provide client education and training on Power BI functionalities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a report developer, specifically with Power BI.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with DAX calculations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both business and technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik.
  • Familiarity with data processing and workflow management tools.
  • Experience in leading architectural design sessions.
