About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Middle Information Developer to join our team at ELEKS. What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain documentation following the Microsoft Style Guide.
  • Create comprehensive instructions from scratch, including editing, formatting, and restructuring documents.
  • Utilize advanced skills in MS Word and MadCap Flare to produce high-quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to ensure documentation meets publication standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers regarding documentation timelines and progress.
  • Interview subject matter experts to gather necessary information for documentation.
  • Create various types of documentation, including user guides, installation guides, and quick-reference guides.
  • Implement interactive elements in documentation such as hyperlinks and indexes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in technical writing and documentation development.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and MadCap Flare.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of the documentation development life cycle (DDLC).
  • A degree in Translations, Philology, or Applied Linguistics is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HTML, XML, and CSS for document formatting.
  • Familiarity with creating video documentation.
  • Previous experience in coaching or mentoring junior staff.
