About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Medical Coder to join our healthcare team. As a Remote Medical Coder, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate coding for medical records, which is essential for patient care and billing processes. • Review and analyze medical records to assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in quality assurance audits to ensure coding accuracy and adherence to standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical coding with a strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with healthcare providers.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly EPIC, is a plus.
