About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and facilitating smooth communication between patients and insurance providers. As a Remote Medical Biller, you will play a vital role in the revenue cycle management of our organization.

What You'll Do

• Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies accurately and efficiently.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed records of billing transactions and patient accounts.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate coding and documentation.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Utilize EHR systems and billing software to manage patient information.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and coding guidelines, including ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a remote setting.
• Proficient in using EHR systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and billing software.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience with telehealth billing is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CMC).
• Familiarity with revenue cycle management processes.
• Experience in handling collections and accounts receivable.
