About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Remote Linux System Administrator to join our client's team and manage our server infrastructure. As a Remote Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems to ensure the availability, performance, and security of servers and services.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor infrastructure, proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Manage and configure network services like DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall.
  • Administer web servers and databases to support application deployment.
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Automate system operations through scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Manage virtualized and containerized environments, including Docker.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application deployment.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for all systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems and internal components.
  • Experience with web server, database, and network service administration.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a teamwork attitude.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
