About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment from the comfort of your home while traveling to various job sites. As a Remote Heavy Equipment Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' machinery operates efficiently and safely.

What You'll Do

  • Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy machinery.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding equipment status and repair needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while on job sites.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed to perform repairs and maintenance.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Service Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Welding experience is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Certification in heavy equipment repair or related field.
  • Experience with specific brands of heavy machinery.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance best practices.
