Remote Final QC Due Diligence Underwriter - Mortgage Compliance Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a Remote Final QC Due Diligence Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance and quality control in the mortgage underwriting process. As a Remote Final QC Due Diligence Underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing loan files, assessing creditworthiness, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough reviews of loan applications and documentation to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate credit reports, financial statements, and other relevant documentation to assess borrower eligibility.
- Collaborate with loan officers and other team members to resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during the review process.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improving the underwriting process and compliance standards.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure the highest level of compliance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of compliance regulations, including TRID, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac guidelines.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Encompass or similar mortgage processing software.
- FHA and VA loan experience.
- Knowledge of DSCR loans and construction loans.
