About the Role
Kyverna Therapeutics is seeking a Remote Executive Director of Patient Advocacy to lead our patient advocacy strategy and outreach efforts. This pivotal role will allow you to develop and execute a long-term patient advocacy strategy that aligns with Kyverna’s corporate objectives and the evolving needs of patient communities. As the Executive Director, you will be at the forefront of transforming the future of treatment for autoimmune diseases, making a significant impact on patient lives.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a long-term patient advocacy strategy aligned with Kyverna’s corporate objectives.
- Serve as a strategic liaison between Patient Advocacy and cross-functional partners, including Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Commercial.
- Build and maintain deep, trusted relationships within the autoimmune and rare disease patient advocacy communities.
- Implement programming with patient groups, including disease awareness campaigns and patient support initiatives.
- Represent Kyverna at key patient advocacy meetings and conferences, enhancing our visibility and engagement.
- Manage corporate sponsorships and initiatives in partnership with patient advocacy groups.
- Monitor trends within the patient advocacy community and provide strategic insights to leadership.
- Support community engagement efforts with charitable organizations and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Business, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in building and leading patient advocacy relationships, preferably in CAR-T, cell therapy, autoimmune, or rare diseases.
- Strong track record of collaborating with business leaders to understand and achieve business goals.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex scientific data into patient-friendly language.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with senior leadership across various teams.
- Strong personal network within patient advocacy.
- Understanding of regulations governing biotech/pharma engagement with non-profits.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
