About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic team at EnergyHub. As a Remote Engineering Manager, you'll oversee the development of innovative software solutions that enhance team efficiency and scalability.

What You'll Do

  • Build, manage, and mentor a team of engineers focused on shared platform capabilities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Product, to define the team's mission, vision, and roadmap.
  • Provide strategic oversight, architectural direction, and execution for new team initiatives, such as building new UI workflows and transitioning to a micro-services environment.
  • Act as a technical partner to Product, QA, Analytics, and client-facing teams, translating cross-functional needs into clear technical plans and priorities.
  • Communicate tradeoffs and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure the team delivers quality, scalable, well-tested code on time and within scope.
  • Continuously raise the bar for your team through organizational evolution and agile process improvement efforts.
  • Champion technical excellence while balancing new feature delivery and technical debt reduction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and team management.
  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams in a remote environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
  • Experience with UI development and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for clean energy and sustainability.
