Remote Director of Business Development - Federal Civilian Sector

About the Role

Join Rocket Communications as a Remote Director of Business Development and lead the strategic growth initiatives for our UX Design company focused on the Federal Civilian sector. In this role, you will oversee the department responsible for securing new business in mission-critical applications and cutting-edge technologies. Your expertise will shape our overall business strategy and ensure a consistent pipeline of revenue-generating projects.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement business development strategies to grow our Federal Civilian business sector.
• Foster innovation and ensure a consistent pipeline of projects that align with our mission.
• Collaborate on RFP responses and contractual agreements to secure new contracts.
• Network at professional events and meetings to promote our services and identify opportunities.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify potential opportunities and risks.
• Report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and contribute to the overall direction of the company.

Requirements

• 9+ years of business development experience, particularly in the Federal Civilian sector.
• Extensive knowledge of the federal procurement process and contracting vehicles.
• Exceptional networking skills with a high level of business, financial, and technical acumen.
• Understanding of modern software development processes and user experience principles.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance and US Citizenship is required.

Nice to Have

• 6+ years of experience related to key Federal Civilian agencies (e.g., HHS, VA, DHS, GSA).
