R&D Specialist - Remote Opportunity at Ontex
About the Role
We are seeking an R&D Specialist to join our innovative team at Ontex. This remote opportunity allows you to contribute to the development of personal care products that improve everyday life for people around the world. As an R&D Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our product development initiatives and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical support to the Product Development team in North America.
- Conduct and document product tests, raw material evaluations, and prototypes.
- Execute laboratory analyses, including reverse engineering and competitive benchmarking.
- Prepare prototypes and samples in both laboratory and production settings.
- Act as the R&D representative during line validations and coordinate sampling of raw materials and finished products.
- Support technical demonstrations and presentations for clients.
- Create and maintain technical specifications and R&D documentation.
- Manage records and materials on digital platforms such as SharePoint.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper execution and follow-up of tests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (mandatory).
- Knowledge of hygiene products and/or non-woven fabrics (desirable).
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques (desirable).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD (desirable).
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- Academic experience, internships, or initial experience in R&D or product design.
