Quality Engineer - New Model (Remote)

About the Role

We're hiring a Quality Engineer - New Model to join our innovative team at McLaren. This remote position will allow you to support the introduction of new models into our manufacturing process, ensuring that quality processes are established to support product outcomes. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of project quality deliverables.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Project Management Office (PMO), Engineering, Corporate Quality, Logistics, and Launch departments.
• Oversee the initial planning phase, pre-series, and series production to ensure quality standards are met.
• Establish and implement quality processes that align with project objectives.
• Conduct thorough quality assessments and audits throughout the production lifecycle.
• Provide support and guidance to teams to resolve quality-related issues effectively.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in quality management systems and standards.

Nice to Have

• Experience with new model introduction processes.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO).
