Medical Science Liaison Manager - Endocrinology (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison Manager to join our team in the exciting field of endocrinology. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with a leading European biotechnology company that has a promising pipeline in endocrinology, oncology, and rare diseases. As a Medical Science Liaison Manager, you will play a crucial role in representing our Medical Affairs team externally and creating awareness within the endocrinology community.
What You'll Do
- Act as the external medical representative for Medical Affairs.
- Communicate the potential of our TransCon technology to the endocrinology community.
- Maintain high medical expertise to support the portfolio/pipeline and relevant disease states.
- Prepare medical/scientific presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Identify key opinion leaders (KOLs) and important organizations within your region.
- Assess the scientific needs of healthcare providers (HCPs), researchers, and patient advocacy groups.
- Develop and maintain a KOL engagement plan that fosters collaborative relationships.
- Collect external insights on disease states, customer portfolios, and competitors, and communicate them to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Build strong relationships with internal colleagues, including market access, marketing, and sales teams.
- Collaborate with internal medical colleagues to support regional goals.
- Provide scientific support at medical congresses.
- Conduct internal onboarding and ongoing medical training for commercial and medical colleagues.
- Interact with external researchers as the primary contact for initiated studies (IITs).
- Support clinical study operations to ensure the success of planned and ongoing clinical trials.
- Document all relevant activities in the CRM platform.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with departmental and company policies.
Requirements
- Completed scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent preferred).
- At least 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a Medical Science Liaison.
- Experience in pediatric endocrinology, endocrinology, or rare diseases is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and organize and prioritize your own time.
- Fluent in German (spoken and written).
- Good command of English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel approximately 50-75% of the time.
