Quality and R&D Technician - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Quality and R&D Technician to join our team at Bodegas José Pariente, a family-owned winery known for its commitment to quality and innovation. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of our quality management systems, food safety protocols, and environmental standards.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and update quality management systems and environmental standards within the organization.
• Supervise compliance with internal quality and food safety procedures.
• Participate in managing incidents, deviations, and non-conformities, collaborating on root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulations and certifications.
• Update and maintain documentation of the management system, including procedures, records, and technical instructions.
• Verify and control raw materials and production processes.
• Collaborate with production areas to drive improvements in processes and quality standards.
• Support R&D initiatives by identifying funding opportunities and preparing technical documentation for projects.

Requirements

• University degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Agricultural Engineering, Biology, or related technical disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality roles within the food sector, preferably in wineries or wine production companies.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO, IFS/BRC or similar).
• Proficient in documentation management and technical report writing.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with digital tools.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, particularly for technical documentation.
