QA Engineer (Mobile) - Fintech Remote Position
About the Role
We're hiring a QA Engineer (Mobile) to join our dynamic team at Punto Pago, a leading fintech company in Panama. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to critical fintech flows, making a significant impact on our users' experience.
What You'll Do
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and cross-platform testing for Android & iOS apps.
- Validate complex end-to-end financial flows including wallet, payments, transfers, and KYC verification.
- Reproduce, isolate, and document defects with clear repro steps and logs.
- Verify UI/UX consistency and localization across devices and OS versions.
- Build and maintain a Python + Appium automation framework for mobile testing.
- Monitor Firebase Crashlytics, analyze stack traces, and validate fixes in subsequent builds.
- Own test accounts and data management for staging conditions and balances.
Requirements
- 3+ years of QA experience with a strong focus on mobile testing in production-grade apps.
- Proven experience in fintech or e-commerce testing.
- Strong manual testing skills and hands-on Python + Appium automation experience.
- Basic API testing skills with an understanding of REST and business logic verification.
- Familiarity with Jira and structured documentation practices.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Nice to Have
- CI integration experience for mobile UI tests.
- Experience with device farms or maintaining a small internal device lab.
- SQL basics and security awareness relevant to fintech QA.

Who Will Succeed Here
