What You'll Do

  • Share research outcomes through public-facing materials to engage with the broader research community.
  • Participate in a 12-week internship program during summer 2026.
  • Work remotely or from an EF office, with the flexibility to choose your working environment.
  • Attend a summer cohort meetup to network and share insights with fellow interns and experts.
  • Focus on formal verification and cryptographic protocols, enhancing your understanding of SNARKS.
  • Encourage contributions to academic publications to bolster your professional profile.

Requirements

  • Current university enrollment in computer science, cryptography, mathematics, or economics.
  • Demonstrated interest in Ethereum and decentralized technologies.
  • Experience with Lean or another proof assistant.
  • Knowledge of Rust and cryptographic implementations.
  • Comfort with the mathematics underlying SNARKS.
  • Familiarity with proof systems used in zkVMs.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in blockchain projects or research.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
