Project Operations Associate - Remote Opportunity with UNDP

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Project Operations Associate to join our team remotely. This role is crucial in supporting the UNDP's mission in the Kyrgyz Republic, focusing on sustainable development and climate action. As a Project Operations Associate, you will provide essential administration, logistics, and finance support to our Biodiversity and Nature Solutions team.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate project planning and preparation for medium-sized and complex project initiatives.
• Conduct analysis, research, and summarize information/data on specific projects.
• Implement project standard operating procedures in accordance with UNDP regulations.
• Assist in preparing results-oriented progress reports and monitor project implementation.
• Prepare financial authorizations for expenditures and manage documentation in the budget system.
• Provide administrative support for project work plans and operational closure.
• Support strategic partnerships and resource mobilization efforts.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and documentation of best practices.

Requirements

• Secondary education or a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
• Minimum 3 years of project experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6 years with a high school diploma.
• Solid computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet and database management.
• Experience in project planning, budgeting, and administrative processes.
• Fluency in English, Kyrgyz, and Russian is required.

Nice to Have

• Experience in managing operations related to environmental and climate change projects.
• Familiarity with web-based management systems.
• Experience working with government and non-government stakeholders.
