German-Speaking Business Development Representative - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate German-speaking Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team at Applause. As a BDR, you will play a crucial role in expanding our reach across Europe while working remotely. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with top brands and make a significant impact in the digital quality space.

What You'll Do

• Generate outbound qualified opportunities for the sales team through proactive prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly goals for meetings booked and opportunities generated.
• Understand and diagnose a prospect’s business challenges, positioning Applause’s value proposition with clarity and relevance.
• Research target accounts and industries to identify key stakeholders and develop account-based prospecting plans.
• Proactively manage and overcome prospect objections by clearly articulating Applause’s value, differentiators, and relevance to the customer’s challenges.
• Respond to inbound interest and qualify leads before routing them to the appropriate Account Executive.
• Collaborate with Marketing to support local demand generation campaigns and event follow-up.
• Maintain accurate pipeline data and activity logs in Salesforce and other sales tools.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
• A strong desire to build a long-term career in sales, with a commitment to learning and growing as a BDR.
• Confident making cold calls and engaging executives.
• Strong research, organizational, and time management skills.
• Self-starter with a growth mindset—driven, resourceful, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Based in or willing to work from our Berlin office (hybrid model available).
• Bonus: Experience selling SaaS, digital solutions, or subscription services.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the tech industry or with digital solutions.
• Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce.
