Production Technician for Custom Plastics - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Production Technician for Custom Plastics to join our team at Ottobock. In this remote opportunity, you will be responsible for manufacturing customer-specific products and aids, such as prosthetics and orthotics. Our team operates as an extended workbench for medical supply stores across Germany and Europe. Utilizing modern technologies like 3D printing and in-house carbon manufacturing, the iFab department continuously develops innovative solutions for our users. What You'll Do

• Manufacture customer-specific duroplast products by laying carbon cuttings according to defined workflows, particularly in the production of carbon orthoses for lower extremities.
• Efficiently and qualitatively execute production orders while adhering to all quality standards.
• Prioritize work orders and manage subsequent shipping processes.
• Contribute to the optimization of workflows and processes within the production environment.
• Perform general tasks in the duroplast area and, if necessary, in the thermoplast sector.

Requirements

• Basic vocational training, ideally as a carpenter or similar.
• Initial experience in production and knowledge of various manufacturing technologies is advantageous.
• Strong quality awareness and a pronounced customer orientation.
• Enjoy working in a team and willingness to learn new workflows in a new industry.
• Reliability and the ability to work goal-oriented under time pressure.
• Willingness to work in a shift system (two shifts).

Nice to Have

• Experience with 3D printing technologies.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with carbon manufacturing processes.
