About the Role

G5 Games is seeking a talented Product Narrative Director to join our team remotely. As a Product Narrative Director, you will lead the narrative vision across new and live game projects, ensuring a cohesive player experience through storytelling and narrative-driven improvements. What You'll Do

• Own the narrative vision for new games and deliver a cohesive player experience across story, characters, tone, pacing, and narrative content.
• Define the strategic narrative direction for live projects in operation, driving growth through storytelling and content beats.
• Conduct player research and collaborate with the community to identify themes that resonate with the target audience.
• Analyze narrative engagement using analytics systems, UX research, and player surveys to turn insights into actionable improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to efficiently plan, produce, and ship narrative content.
• Track market trends and competitor solutions in narrative and live event storytelling.
• Write and oversee key narrative content, including dialogues, quests, events, and UI narrative copy.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in narrative design, game writing, or content direction in games.
• A portfolio showcasing shipped titles, with mobile F2P experience being a strong plus.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt voice and tone.
• Ability to align narrative decisions with product goals, metrics, and engineering constraints.
• Passion for games and enhancing player experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with live ops narrative and event-driven storytelling.
• Experience writing scripts for game videos and cinematic content.
• Familiarity with localization workflows and writing for translation.
• Experience using AI tools to speed up narrative prototyping and iteration.
