Product Lead - Generative AI Tools for Legal Tech

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Lead to join Laine, a mission-driven startup focused on revolutionizing the legal drafting and contracting space. As a Product Lead remote, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our generative AI tools and platforms that connect clients and lawyers. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that legal documentation is precise, compliant, and efficient.

What You'll Do

• Define and prioritize the product roadmap for Laine’s core drafting platform, ensuring alignment with engineering, legal innovation, and user experience.
• Collaborate with the CEO, CTO, and engineering teams to translate the roadmap into actionable epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Gather and synthesize feedback from lawyers, clients, and internal stakeholders to refine feature requirements and maintain compliance across jurisdictions.
• Obsess over user experience, ensuring that our Lawyer Terminal and Client UI are as elegant as top consumer applications.
• Monitor product metrics and make data-driven decisions to enhance user satisfaction and product adoption.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in SaaS or marketplace environments.
• Startup mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive rapid iterations.
• Technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
• Experience in regulated environments, ideally within legaltech or fintech.
• Strong UX acumen for complex B2B and B2C workflows.
• Excellent communication skills for managing relationships with legal professionals and development teams.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to generative AI product flows and experience with marketplaces or network-model platforms.
• Familiarity with legal contracting workflows and experience launching products in multiple geographies.
