Product Engineer - AI-Driven Cloud Solutions (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Engineer - Remote to join our innovative DoiT Labs team. As a Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our R&D efforts, focusing on developing AI-powered solutions that optimize cloud spending. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden, or Spain. We also welcome contractors from Eastern Europe and Portugal.

What You'll Do

• Own the full lifecycle of product development, from understanding user pain points to designing, implementing, and iterating on solutions.
• Engage directly with customers and domain experts to build empathy for the challenges faced by cloud operators and FinOps practitioners.
• Utilize AI tools daily to enhance your engineering work, including coding, analysis, and prototyping.
• Design and implement AI-powered features, such as intelligent recommendations and predictive capabilities for cloud cost optimization.
• Prototype rapidly and ship frequently, validating ideas through real customer usage rather than prolonged planning cycles.
• Build across the full stack, including backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces.
• Define success metrics for your work, focusing on adoption, workflow improvement, and customer impact.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering complete products or features.
• Strong full-stack engineering capabilities across backend, frontend, APIs, and data layers.
• Solid understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their billing/cost structures.
• Experience in AI-first product development, actively using AI tools to accelerate work.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated and effective in a remote, fast-paced team environment.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience building AI/ML-powered product features.
• Familiarity with data cloud platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
• Background in a startup or research lab environment.
