About the Role

GrainCorp is excited to announce an opening for a Process Engineer - Remote. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in enhancing our operations at our renowned facility in Numurkah, Victoria. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute to our mission of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and implement process efficiency improvements to enhance production systems.
  • Reduce downtime and resolve recurring production issues through effective troubleshooting.
  • Deliver capital and process improvement projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Implement engineering solutions that align with long-term business goals and foster a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI).
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) standards and corporate regulations.
  • Engage positively with the operations team to facilitate process changes and provide coaching and training.

Requirements

  • Qualified as a Chemical Engineer or in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food or chemical manufacturing.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in process and production environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Understanding of process control systems and automation.
  • Project management knowledge and a willingness to develop further in this area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a remote working environment.
