Principal Product Manager - Payments for Web3
About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager - Payments to join our team at MoonPay, a leading platform in the Web3 space. As a Principal Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of payments in the decentralized economy. This is a remote position that allows you to work from anywhere while making a significant impact on our payment solutions.
What You'll Do
- Define and execute a cohesive global product strategy to drive alignment with company-wide growth objectives and ambitious revenue targets.
- Create and deliver the roadmap for Payments teams that encompasses Card payments, Banking rails, and APMs across the US, EU, and APAC.
- Foster a commercially-minded, data-driven product culture using analysis, market research, and ROI analysis to justify investment and define success.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Compliance, and Customer Experience teams to deliver best-in-class payment solutions.
- Drive product launches, market research, user discovery initiatives, and continuous optimization post-launch, ensuring measurable business impact.
- Manage strategic partnerships, vendor relationships, and regulatory engagements critical to expanding MoonPay’s payment services globally.
Requirements
- 6+ years in product management, with at least 3 years leading global cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale payment products with measurable impacts on user growth, revenue generation, and geographic expansion.
- Deep expertise in traditional and emerging payment systems, including card networks, issuing platforms, crypto banking, and consumer fintech applications.
- Strong technical understanding of payment optimization, ML-driven fraud prevention, regulatory frameworks, and PCI DSS compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of navigating complex regulatory environments and building effective partnerships across financial institutions, tech providers, and regulatory bodies.
- A data-driven approach with proven experience leveraging analytics, experimentation frameworks, and user research to inform strategic decisions.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the Web3 or DeFi space.
- Familiarity with crypto payment solutions.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
