Preschool Summer Camp Teacher - Seasonal Role

About the Role

Are you ready for the best Summer ever? We’re looking for energetic, passionate, and engaging Preschool Summer Camp Teachers to join our celebrated Summer Camp program. This role offers the opportunity to spend your Summer providing a fun, safe, and exciting learning environment for children ages 1-5 while enjoying full-time hours without working nights or weekends. As a Preschool Summer Camp Teacher, you will follow provided lesson plans to implement fascinating arts and crafts, enriching outdoor play, special Friday activities, and visits to our beautiful outdoor pool with a Splash Pad for our littlest swimmers.

What You'll Do

• Create a safe and positive classroom environment that promotes learning through open-ended activities.
• Implement the age-appropriate grab-and-go curriculum to nurture and stimulate all domains of the children’s development.
• Cultivate and maintain a positive relationship with parents through formal and informal communication on a daily and weekly basis.
• Foster and develop relationships with other teaching team members, including co-teachers.
• Gear the program towards the needs of individual children, taking into account interests, challenges, talents, and individual learning styles.
• Accompany children to and from the swimming pool several times a week and provide adequate supervision.
• Assist with the supervision of afternoon staff or volunteers in the classroom.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with young children.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, carrying, and repetitive motions, with occasional sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing, and stooping/crouching.
