About the Role

We are seeking a Power BI Specialist remote to join our dynamic team at Long View Systems. In this role, you will leverage Microsoft’s Analytics stack, including Power BI and Azure technologies, to drive value for our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and personal growth.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive value through Microsoft’s Analytics stack, including Power BI, Dataverse, and Azure technologies.
  • Design and implement solutions that meet clients’ reporting and dashboard requirements.
  • Conduct workshops with clients to gather insights and understand their needs.
  • Create wireframes to visualize reporting requirements effectively.
  • Model data in Power BI and perform metrics and advanced calculations using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
  • Deploy Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring they meet client expectations.
  • Provide client education and training on Power BI functionalities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a report developer with proficiency in Power BI.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlik.
  • Strong skills in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query (M).
  • Familiarity with Azure data services, including Data Factory, SQL, Blob Storage, Synapse, Databricks, and Fabric.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and lead architectural design sessions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills to enhance code and application-level improvements.

Nice to Have

  • PL-400 Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate certification.
  • Additional Microsoft certifications.
