Podcast Production Intern - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Podcast Production Intern to join Our National Conversation (ONC) in a remote capacity. This role is perfect for someone passionate about media production and eager to contribute to our mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions. As a Podcast Production Intern, you will assist in the production of our podcast, gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the production of podcasts including recording and editing, ensuring high-quality audio output.
• Research and complete episode outlines by deadlines, contributing to the overall content strategy.
• Publish finished podcast episodes, ensuring they are accessible to our audience.
• Maintain high communication levels with team members via Zoom and Slack, fostering a collaborative remote work environment.
• Commit to the internship until at least December 8th, 2025, ensuring continuity in our podcast production.
• Collaborate on content calendar deliverables, helping to plan future episodes.
• Understand key audiences for podcast segments to tailor content effectively.
• Participate in weekly meetings to discuss progress and share ideas.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Communications or a related field.
• Familiarity with podcast styles and trends is essential.
• Basic file management skills are required.
• Knowledge of sound editing software is mandatory; video editing knowledge is preferred.
• Effective communication skills are crucial for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
• Experience with Google Workspace is a plus.
• Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
