Platform Engineer - Remote Role at Finmid

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Platform Engineer to join our team at Finmid. This remote Platform Engineer role offers the opportunity to build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our innovative financial solutions for SMEs across Europe. You will be integral in designing systems that enhance developer experience and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Architect and manage our cloud infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and internal platforms.
• Evaluate, integrate, and roll out new tools and services across the company.
• Partner with product and business teams to remove bottlenecks and ship faster.
• Own production systems end-to-end — from design decisions to incident response.
• Raise the bar on security, observability, and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with containers, orchestration, and cloud platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, or similar).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code, preferably in Kotlin or TypeScript.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
• A pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Desire for growth and willingness to take on new challenges.

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial services, payments, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with managing micro-services running on JVM runtime.
• A track record of driving projects from idea to production.
• Experience working in distributed/remote teams.
